It is amazing how far smoke from forest fires can travel. Here in central ND we get smoked out from fires in northern Canada several times a summer (700-900 miles north of us). I hope it clears up quickly for you!

Strangely enough it was pretty smoky in Yucaipa today too. High level stuff but you could still smell the smoke. Not sure anyone down there actually NOTICED anything!

Yeah if you look at the satellite image MGJ put up earlier, [Click Here] there was a northerly flow at the surface all day and you could clearly see the smoke moving south in our direction. Now that our ole faithful westerlies have returned, this should clear in time.

For those on drift smoke: Yes, it is drift smoke from Yosemite and Central California. Both SB County Fire and the USFS have confirmed this. The Tip Top fire was being handled by the USFS. It was a 10 x 10 foot spot and wasn't going anywhere.
