Sorry about the delay, no chain restrictions are in effect any longer, our storm is over.
bullet echofox on Wednesday 02 April 2014 - 19:13:17
Any chain restrictions in place? 330/18/38?
bullet KK on Wednesday 02 April 2014 - 18:44:37
OMG! It has been several years Coco! I was a volunteer at the Zoo. Saw you there!
I swear that was years ago!
bullet Benny (N6BWX) on Wednesday 02 April 2014 - 18:14:00
What a pathetic year it's been when we're excited over 2 & 3 inches of snow.
bullet Cocopuffs on Wednesday 02 April 2014 - 18:08:57
yeah agree, Idywilld isnt that high up, Pine Cove usually sees double the snow as in Idywilld, im very familiar with that area as its the closest to me to see snow. They are seeing some training heavy cells into their area right now, so im sure theyll see a bit more
bullet Benny (N6BWX) on Wednesday 02 April 2014 - 18:06:53
Well it's not that much, maybe an inch of slurp, you can still see the street and grass, another nice downburst...
bullet Cocopuffs on Wednesday 02 April 2014 - 17:59:49
na as in earlier it was truly dumping there, that all fell in less then 30 minutes literally, it was all dirt and grass there at 5:30
bullet Benny (N6BWX) on Wednesday 02 April 2014 - 17:59:05
Heavy as in heavy wet..., couple inches of slush there.
bullet WoolyBear on Wednesday 02 April 2014 - 17:57:38
Sun out at my house.
bullet Cocopuffs on Wednesday 02 April 2014 - 17:57:28
yeah, looks like the Riverside mtns are finally seeing some heavy white stuff, they have gotten skunked the past couple storms:

bullet Benny (N6BWX) on Wednesday 02 April 2014 - 17:55:53
hahaha, well I just wish it'd really do something already or blow out of here.
bullet Cocopuffs on Wednesday 02 April 2014 - 17:54:19
must be on a different thread then me, on mine its 4-6" for rowco, but folks in downtown rs saying 2-3" and who are arguing with each other, whateves, 3" or 6" still in the range i was expecting there lol
bullet Benny (N6BWX) on Wednesday 02 April 2014 - 17:53:28
That's true Wooley, almost always a Mother's Day storm!
bullet Cocopuffs on Wednesday 02 April 2014 - 17:53:09
indeed it has, i believe it was seevral years ago when i was a volunteer for the forest service and i was up at Horse Meadows on south fork trail memorial day weekend(the start of the summer hiking season) when a couple inches of snow fell and i froze my ass off lol.
bullet Benny (N6BWX) on Wednesday 02 April 2014 - 17:53:08
haha, gotcha, well I found the thread but the guy said he expected the 6" inches he heard about and found 2 1/2" tops.
bullet WoolyBear on Wednesday 02 April 2014 - 17:51:03
We don't say no mo snow until after Mother's Day. It has happened.
bullet Cocopuffs on Wednesday 02 April 2014 - 17:49:24
they are on that other forum lol
bullet Cocopuffs on Wednesday 02 April 2014 - 17:48:55
hahahah poor wooly. I aint gonna lie, im over this winter, but im happy we managed to get something this late in the season considering how dry its been. Im hoping a big el nino does indeed form for next winter, but with our luck the mtns will see 50" of rain and no snow below 8000ft all year haha
bullet Benny (N6BWX) on Wednesday 02 April 2014 - 17:48:24
Haven't seen any reports of that, but cool! Must have seen a really good downburst.
bullet WoolyBear on Wednesday 02 April 2014 - 17:47:26
Roads dry, snow mostly gone. 25 gallons of snow blower gas never used this Winter.

bullet Cocopuffs on Wednesday 02 April 2014 - 17:45:33
apparently according to folks on another foum, upper ROWCO got slammed today, seeing way more then down town running springs did, makes sense.
bullet Benny (N6BWX) on Wednesday 02 April 2014 - 17:43:17
We have about 1-2 inches at the resorts, I had about an inch at my place this morning, but long gone already... Another weak lil storm that just couldn't quite get up here...
bullet Cocopuffs on Wednesday 02 April 2014 - 17:41:05
now there is some coconeese right there lol
bullet Cocopuffs on Wednesday 02 April 2014 - 17:40:04
benny base on radar and reports on the rim, amounts were very isolated due to heavy convective activity, with some areas over less then a 1/2 mile seeing double the amounts of others, i agree 6" may be a stretch but more then one person has said that amounts, i think 3-5 would probably be more likely, but gvl got missed by that entire wave of activity that hit running springs over to crestline, it was even easy to see on radar how the showers were training off the ridge of running springs down to near AO but missing snow valley and gvl. Man looking at the bear cam right now, its amazing how much snow they have gotten compared to our there on the east end where no snow can even be found lol
bullet Benny (N6BWX) on Wednesday 02 April 2014 - 17:35:18
Here's a webcam in Running Springs, by no means 6"
[Click Here] Someone must of have found a nice drift...
bullet Benny (N6BWX) on Wednesday 02 April 2014 - 17:27:24
Kitty that's astounding you picked up that much snow, Snow Valley has nothing on the ground, nor Lake Arrowhead, only a couple inches in Green Valley Lake, you must have been under an extremely isolated cell as no one else is reporting that much snow!
bullet Benny (N6BWX) on Wednesday 02 April 2014 - 16:15:42
that's great kitty, wish you guys would share! we only received a coupe inches or so, depending on where you are....
bullet Bookworm on Wednesday 02 April 2014 - 16:02:27
Woot. I hope we have some exciting weather.

see I nodded off again and let down the guy with the whip.
I'll have to jump through extra hoops next performance.
luckily we get paid by the word so if I write enough I can earn my pay.
While the cash is nice I'm mostly in it for the benefits, and you meet such fun girls in a circus. Currently I am dating the bearded lady. Almost makes up for having to clean up after the elephant. and he works for peanuts.
Oh well see ya next show.

Soooo I'm finishing marinating my rump to make sauerbraten tomorrow. Five days to marinade, and four hours to cook. Should be tasty, though.
