Is the dam construction affecting traffic? Going UTH on Friday the 2nd and wondering which way is better this year....

Depending on when, there has been some delays at the Dam due to construction. I prefer hwy 38 over the 330/18 anyway so not an impact to me. I use the back way (Hwy 18 via Lucerne) a lot as my folks live in Palm Springs.

I have usually used the 330/18 and on occasion used 38 (nice easy drive)
However I have never used the 15 (coming from SD) to ? Bear Valley Rd to 18 the back way......does that add a lot of time verus 38? Curves don't bother me but traffic kills me... Thanks for all the input....

I use 15 to Bear Valley to 18 when I bring up the boat. It adds about a half hour to the drive. Easy driving though.

330/18. I'm on the west side so the extra time taking the other routes is just not really worth it unless there is an accident or construction.

Y'know, Nietzsche says: "Out of chaos comes order."

I prefer 18 to Victimville as well. Cement plane? I bet it has rocky landings and take offs.

While we remember and honor all those who gave the ultimate sacrifice, we need to also remember their families who made a sacrifice. Preparing to go to a Memorial Day Observance in about 30 minutes

Rock, I did a few people that I am not proud of, but resposible for in nam. I do think we are a better people for it. I lost many friends to booby traps etc. I was fortunate that I was a medical officer.

ROCK
May 29 : 05:57am

I just wanted to take a moment to pause and remember what Memorial Day is really about.

It’s about the 625,000 Americans killed in the Civil War.
The 116,000 Americans killed in WWI.
The 405,000 Americans killed in WWII.
The 36,000 Americans killed in the Korean War.
The 58,000 Americans killed in the Vietnam War.
The 2,300 Americans killed in the Afghanistan War.
The 4,500 Americans killed in the Iraq war.
And all the Americans killed in other wars.

Thank you for your service.
Thank you for your sacrifice.
And thank you for being willing to die for your country.

I salute each and every one of you and your families.
