Is the dam construction affecting traffic? Going UTH on Friday the 2nd and wondering which way is better this year....

Depending on when, there has been some delays at the Dam due to construction. I prefer hwy 38 over the 330/18 anyway so not an impact to me. I use the back way (Hwy 18 via Lucerne) a lot as my folks live in Palm Springs.

WINTER IS OVER AND SUMMER IS ALMOST HERE!

I have usually used the 330/18 and on occasion used 38 (nice easy drive)
However I have never used the 15 (coming from SD) to ? Bear Valley Rd to 18 the back way......does that add a lot of time verus 38? Curves don't bother me but traffic kills me... Thanks for all the input....

I use 15 to Bear Valley to 18 when I bring up the boat. It adds about a half hour to the drive. Easy driving though.

330/18. I'm on the west side so the extra time taking the other routes is just not really worth it unless there is an accident or construction.

Y'know, Nietzsche says: "Out of chaos comes order."

I prefer 18 to Victimville as well. Cement plane? I bet it has rocky landings and take offs.

Bookie....No, still in NC. Working hard, very busy, very bruised and having fun! Haven't had a day off since I've been here. I'm less than 5 min. a beautiful beach (so they tell me) and I haven't even seen it yet.
