latest update from [Click Here] their words *

Is spite of the name they are showing it on the Wild-Cad map as being at the end of the paved road East of Forest Falls. (Vivian Creek area)This is a couple miles east of the mouth of Momyer Creek. Likely the fire may be between the 2 spots. Wilderness boundary follows the 7000 foot contour above the fire. Town around 4800 ft.++ going east.
Call it N34.082806° W116.892471°

Fire is on the North side of the valley across Mill Creek from the community. Timber, brush and grasses; it is the flank of Mt San Gorgonio. As someone pointed out earlier this area has not burned in forever. The community is one with the forest. Hopefully they can keep it on the North side of the creek, as far as I know no homes there.

sorry guys too tired to rewrite this in my words

Thanks Guys * Nite All

The fire is NOT at the end of the road, it is north of the Momyer trail head, and thus the name. Cammy's map shows where the fire is within a fraction of a mile.

I am not hearing much on the scanner this morning. I think Fawnskin is too far from the incident to hear the local traffic. I did hear the dispatch center tell the incident commander that the Orange County helicopter was on it's was back to the incident. I have not been able to find any new information about what happened over night. Sorry gang.

I heard a seperate call on the scanner yesterday for a fire in section 30, which may be where the confusion lies.
