My wife and I hiked to this remarkably intact mining camp in the vicinity of Cactus Flats. A miner's cabin still stands, along with ruins of a small log cabin. There is also a dam and an arrastre. Does anybody have the history of this camp?

Sorry to be so vague about its location but I have been sworn to secrecy as to its location by the legendary Tom Core....

While I understand the theory behind keeping these places a secret, it really annoys me. I know there's concern of damage done by idiots, but is it really better to keep these creeps away, as well as honest, curious, dedicated citizens, as the history silently slip away due to elements, or more tragically, fire?

What doesn't kill me does NOT make me stronger. It makes me anxious, bitchy, and vulnerable...but nobody wants to see that embroidered on a pillow...Lisa Kogan...thx LXL...sorry i stole it from you! Ok, maybe I'm not sorry :-P

Based on the material, nails and condition, I'd be surprised if it was more than 60 years old.

If it is the ohne I am thinking of it is or recently was a working claim. Thy don't do a lot of work on it. The owners are getting up there.

Don't argue with an idiot; people watching may not be able to tell the difference.

It was hard to tell, but it looked like there was a basement at the school. Too much debris to be sure. The houses around it are wiped clean though.
