just wanted to see if some of yall here would want to name their favorite restaurant in the big bear area and what you would suggest someone ordering...

I really like Old Country Inn, their food is great (except the chicken parmesan). I also like Red Baron pizza.

For mexican food, hands down, El Jacilito's

Wife loves Sweet Basil and Cowboy Express.

Breakfast? would have to recommend Grizzly Manor and North Shore Cafe.

thanks for the suggestions... i will keep them in mind when im on the hill...

maybe yall can help me remember the name of a place i used to go to on the way to the resorts...

not sure of exactly where, but it was a breakfast place, german/alpine type theme... they were pretty slow it seemed on those early mornings midweek when we would stop there for breakfast on the way to the resorts... it was usually an older gentleman with white hair, or an elderly woman running the place solo it seemed... maybe just them and one cook... the inside was like a wood cabin, nice and antique looking place... heres the detail that may jog someones memory... they would bring out a condiment tray thing with like 4 types of jam/preserves with orange marmalade to your table... i would always order the biscuits and gravy with my mealll the gravy was really light and fluffy and it came on the side... i dont know if this place is still around, nor where exactly it was located.. i do know it wasnt in the village area, but was right off of the 18 i think...

any ideas?

It woke me up. We rarely feel them in our house but this one was a pretty good shake. Must've been fairly shallow. Anyone else feel it?

So lets see- kids were in a tree building a fort, dropped a hammer, hit Goat in the face which caused him to crash into a camp fire where they were making fajitas thus burning his hand and getting fajita all over his shirt! Does that explain it?
