Thanks, Steve! I didn't see any in that first link that were a match and I did purchase that set in your second link from the site that Bookworm mentioned earlier. So far, no joy. The people at Butchers Block sent me over to a locksmith in the Summit Plaza (A-Kenn) and he found two in a catalog he had and ordered them. Seemed to think one of the two would work. Should be in in about a week. I'm still open to more suggestions while I'm waiting. " A billion here, a billion there, and pretty soon you're talking real money" -attributed to Everett Dirksen

Well, I guess it's time to bump this back up again. Didn't realize it had been so long since I started this but I still need help/suggestions. While A-Kenn said they'd try to order some, I didn't get the feeling they tried very hard and they just told me they couldn't help.
I did find a lock & key on eBay that looked promising and won with a $25 bid. Wasn't a good enough match on the slots.
In case anyone has old skeleton keys laying around in a drawer, here's a picture of 2 of the 3 parts that made up my key. The other piece you need to know is that the barrel is hollow to fit over a pin in the lock.

Thanks, ATL. It's just kind of hard to guess from the pictures when one might be the right key. The one on eBay sure looked right in the pictures but ended up not working. I'm also not sure I have the tools to take a blank and make a copy either.
Since I'm definitely not going to hurt my Grandmother's desk, I guess this could be a long journey. Fortunately, since we did empty the desk before we locked it for the move, I guess I have the time... I may take you up on that, ROCK. I'll see if I can find a blank with the right dimensions. And, I agree. I think it would be tough to repair the original. " A billion here, a billion there, and pretty soon you're talking real money" -attributed to Everett Dirksen

I've been sifting through some old boxes lately. I'll keep an eye out for my old collection of similar keys. Did the end break off in the lock, suggesting the lock is stiff or frozen? If the damage was not due to twisting the key in the lock, perhaps some jbweld would hold the key together for a single opening of the lock, then you can swap the lock out?
