Siver, you can get the license a couple of different ways, you can go in the lottery in September and pay about $10,000 or you can buy from a private seller on the open market and depending on the type of license can go for $30-$50k. Beer and wine is easy and cheap, full liquor is more expensive and it also depends upon the type of establishment, bar/restaurant, restaurant/bar, bar, etc......

And by the way, there are(at least) 3 new full service restaurants opening in Big Bear within the next 6 months.

Julie from Peppercorn is also opening up a restaurant where Mandoline's used to be, originally targeted for January but because of some construction issues it looks like targeted for June now. I don't have the menu but I understand it will be more of a bar/restaurant than Peppercorn and slightly less expensive.

Also the old Boo Bear's Den is gonna open up sometime in the next few months with another well known proprietor but I am not sure about the exact status of that. Thats a great space and location, they just need someone in there to make great food, which I think it will be.

It is great to see the updates here. I have been told about all of the new spots and am happy to see things are moving ahead.

Reading the menu from Black Diamond makes me hungry and I just finished breakfast!

The Boo-Bear location could be excellent. I used to like it, but over the last 5 to 8 years the quality seemed to decline, though that is only my opinion.

Is the village really busy this weekend?
We need dinner and thought if it was quiet in town we would try something there.
