I'm sure there's a thought process that went along with it being in 'Winter' care to share?

Ah yes! I took these photos during the time of year when the Sun appears to be moving northward but hasn't yet crossed the Equator.

I swear you guys talk in your own private language some times!

COCO likes to steal the photos I post on here and put them on his website. Sometimes he tells me about it afterwords. Sometimes I happen to be bored and go to look at his site and see them there without prior knowledge of them being there.

Oh and (even though it's obvious) we are located in the Northern Hemisphere.

TracFone CDMA/V phones are hard to find. Most places that have TracFone, carry GSM type only.

Verizon Wireless is probably the best. It is the only one with service in pretty much all areas.

I've had TracFone. If you can get a CDMA/V phone, that isn't too bad. It runs off Verizon towers.

Verizon Wireless rocks! Their customer service is fantastic! Too bad Verizon land is so terrible!

Whoops, within minutes I got my first email. False alarm. I have a Tracfone, nothing fancy, $100/yr. Always has connected up here and DTH.

I've been happy with t-mobile on the mountain the last few years. Yeah, it doesn't have as good coverage, but it works well from home (any place where terrain doesn't block the signal from the towers on Strawberry Peak is fine) and works when I go dth and I only pay about $100 a year using prepaid. Admittedly, I don't pay for data, though I think they have some decent data plans too. If you need better coverage, you'll be spending a lot more for other carriers.

Thank you Craig - I have heard Verizon has great coverage. We have decent coverage on AT&T from our place and into BBL. T-Mobile has an (relatively) attractive pricing plan vs. AT&T and Verizon.

ND, I have only had Verizon which works great up here. I have heard of some pretty spotty coverage with both AT&T and Tmobile.

Does anyone use T-Mobile up here? I live off Irving Way near Paradise and am considering switching from AT&T, but I've heard negative things about the reception of T-Mobile.
