Yeah, I've heard them announcing that on KTLA for awhile, bummer for those who have direct, I love KTLA! Someone, somewhere mentioned Charter was also going to stop carry Channel 6, anybody heard anything on that?

Heard that this morning also. They are advising those with Direct to change providers or get an antenna and pick KTLA off the air

I knew about it and even called Directv the other day. They really don't care what their customers think.

I was bummed when I turn on the TV this morning and my news wasn't on. I'm pissed off and thinking about going to another provider.

I love the KTLA morning news and would suffer with out it. I am glad that Charter doesn't have the same problems as DirectTV does.

Yep...my favorite too! Tomorrow morning is going to suck without it. I'm going to give it a couple of weeks and then if it's not on then...bye bye

usualy they settle these at the last minute We don't get KTLA down here in our local pack but I wish we could. I'm still happier with direct then others I see.
Is Ch 5 available on the internet?

Don't argue with an idiot; people watching may not be able to tell the difference.

I miss my KTLA. But it's all business which means its all about money. We can't get cable and I know TOO many folks unhappy with Dish so I guess we're stuck ....or do what we do more often these days and pull it off the net! :-)

Maybe a topic for the General Discussion... A lot of passion on this topic

Who owns the water and who is selling it to Nestle? If it is the Forest Service (US Dept of Agriculture) and not the BB Water District, it is a Federal issue and the only recourse would be to contact the U.S Representative for Big Bear or either/both of our two California Senators.

You know it'll just be passed on to the customer. I'm not a Nestle supporter. Just trying to be realistic and see all the sides. People are quick to complain about jobs lost in the mountains, not realizing the choices they make lead to them.

Yes LJ that is true and a good thing but t hey should pay a realistic price for a precious resource.

Don't forget that they pay taxes and employ people

The way I understand it blue Meadow is they are getting this water for ridiculously low rate water that belongs to the mountains in the citizens of this county and then they sell it at and make an obscene profit. I know that's the American way but it should not be on the back of us and the precious water that belongs to our mountains. That's my thought anyway

Impulse 2 flew right over the valley, but I forgot to go out and look with the tracker. Though it may have been too cloudy anyway...

Is this a Nestle meeting you are talking about? The only one i know about already happened on April 18. Is there another one dealing with bottled water? I did submit a letter to the Forest Service today - the last day for commenting on the Nestle permit.

Who is going to the meeting on Thursday about bottled water? I want to go and sit with others I know. We can not have folks taking our spring water away from us. Let them make their own. Our forest needs the water. All of it. And we do not need the large trucks hauling water out of the hills.
If we do not stop it other companies will come take our water, and we are having enough problems getting enough water..(:...you know the song and dance. Who else is going to the meeting I can see there?
