This Chipmunk was sitting just outside one of our windows the other day. You can see the reflection of our windows, the Sun & some snow on our deck in his eyeball on the second photo!

Yes Benny you have been so awesome and right on for so many years! I was talking many many years ago before cell phones and easy internet!

Hey Van, I don't think that's the case, with all due respect I beg to differ. We haven't had any storms surprise us this season, you may have, but if you check bensweather.com on a regular basis, shouldn't have been caught off guard this season, I haven't missed a beat! Quite fankly, I've never seen a snowstorm roll through that "wasn't" in the forecast... We may miss the mark on totals but never entirely.

Deborahavas- this will sound silly but practice putting your chains on and off while you are in your driveway and it's sunny out. You don't want to be learning how to do it in the snow and the cold by the side of the road.

Yes I remember the days getting stuck in a blizzard in our shorts coming up the mountain with no clue!

One thing I've learned in my 20+ years in Big Bear is that the weather can and does change in a virtual instant. We've had a couple of times this year when we had about 6 inches of snow with none in the forecast, thats why its called a forecast and not a plan.

There will be plenty of snow left through April. There's over 3 feet in my yard in many places. We will have snow again this month but in the mean time its nice to have a break with sunny weather.

By the time you get here, Deborahavas, there may be little snow left. The weather's warm.

Good morning, this is your wake-up call! The late nighters are still making zzzzs and those of us on a more traditional schedule are into the day. Do your best to make it a good one.

Hi Cornbread,
Whereabouts in CDA are you living? I have a place in Strawberry Fields, Hayden but would like to be closer east near Dalton Gardens and Canfield mountain. Hayden Lake is a nice substitute for Big Bear Lake...

Thank you so much. I knew this would be the place to get a expert answer. So glad I did ask here!
