Okay, so went shopping and charged the purchase, when I got home looked at the receipt and it was for 3X what I had bought. Went back and talked to the manger and we straightened it out, seems they put the last 4 numbers of the CC in and the cashier was treating it like a debit card so it thought that was the amount, honest mistake but it would have cost me money if I didn't catch it.

I don’t need your attitude thanks, I have one of my own!

If you shop at Von's and you use your club card along with the online thing, you need to check your receipt, item by item. We have bought items and they were not charged the sale price. No problem when you bring back your receipt and show the items mis-priced, they will refund the difference. Just beware and ALWAYS check your receipt.

Sort of on the same subject: I just re-upped my verizon cell phone, with "free" phones after a mail-in rebate. I asked the salesman, just out of curiosity, what percentage of people actually go through and fill out the tedious paperwork required to reeive the rebate. He told me 75% do NOT file for a rebate. Very surprised at that number. 50 bucks is 50 bucks. No wonder they "offer" rebates.

Geezer - They (Verizon) send out a Visa/Citi rebate/debit card. I got mine for $50 in Jan.

Sorry that didn't work out for you. But until Summer you might try the Palm Springs tram. You can do the same thing riding up in a rotating car and see what the other side of San Gorgonio looks like. I hear there is good food at the top and you can play in the snow if you like

Thank you guys so much about the chair lift rules and lunch at the top at Snow Summit. My husband and I didn't know the rules since we have only ridden the chair lift in the summer months. Did NOT know it was running half speed. You are all so helpful with this question. Makes sense now. We usually only come up Spring - Fall so not bring skiers we had no idea of any of this stuff. Thanks again.

Debora, to touch on what AR said, the conditional use permit with the forest service a. won't allow it and 2, the lift is running at full speed, we slow it to about half speed during the summer for guests to easily get on & off the chair. Additionally you would need proper footwear to be up walking around on the snow, getting off at the top can be a steep, sheet of ice, not easy to walk on. And last thing we need is people on the slopes hiking around in their flip flops getting run over by skiers & snowboarders. Many safety concerns...

Deborah it is a safety issue in winter plus they would have to bring the lift speed to almost a dead stop for foot traffic. They don't even like having the lift personell come down that way.
