FROM THE USGS WEBSITE:

Q: What is the probability that an earthquake is a foreshock to a larger earthquake?

A: Worldwide the probability that an earthquake will be followed within 3 days by a large earthquake nearby is somewhere just over 6%. In California, that probability is about 6%. This means that there is about a 94% chance that any earthquake will NOT be a foreshock. In California, about half of the biggest earthquakes were preceded by foreshocks; the other half were not. At this time, we cannot tell whether or not an earthquake is a foreshock until something larger happens after it... so only in retrospect.

Sheriff saying meteors, but I've been up here 40 years and not see anything like this before.
Lasted more than 20-30 seconds. First thought they were twin headlights up on the mountain, and then noticed large gold colored trails. Fell at about a twenty degree angle just above the top of Gold Mountain. First saw them out my window and watched for what seemed like a minute, and the got up and watch them flame across the ski till they disappeared behind the mountain out over desert view

Have not been around for a few weeks as I was out of Internet touch. I hope all is well with everyone.

Quick question, yesterday we went past Pong's and noticed it was closed. It is just a standard Tuesday closure or did we lose another BB business?

We had a fire last night in upper Moonridge. It has been said it was arson. Please beware of strangers in the neighborhood...people who act odd and don't belong.
