We took my mom here last Friday for Mother's Day. When we got there it took over 3 minutes for someone to acknowledge us. Not a great start. We were seated by the window and enjoyed the view. A blue/grey heron walked up and out of the lake for a photo op!
The drink prices are really good. Jose's coronas $3.25 and the Bloody Marys were $3. The appetizer (shrimp cocktail) came with the entrees. I tried to cancel it but my mom still wanted it. When she and Jose started eating this they said it had no flavor and were dismayed with the chunks of ice in it (too keep it cold I guess)
My beef dip sandwich (8.95) was lack luster I had to order pickles afterward to make it tolerable. the sandwich meat they use is from Staters and not the top quality either. My coleslaw look two days old and tasted that way so I sent it back and got the french fries instead, which were delicious!
Jose wasn't impressed with his burger (the flaming hot one) and my moms sandwich was ok, but her side of country beans were so acidic that she didn't eat them. I tried them too yuck!
Over all I wouldn't order anything here but the fries, but I would drink here again. For the 3 of us the bill came to $62 not including tip. Karaoke Queen Wildlife photographer
I saw the Mill Creek sign today and drove by because I know how good the one in Mentone is. Only saw a sign for Diamond Lil's out front. Didn't they used to be above the airport at China Garden? No good deed goes unpunished.
Do not walk behind me, for I may not lead. Do not walk ahead of me, for I may not follow. Do not walk beside me either. Just pretty much leave me alone.

I thought Diamond Lil's had moved down near B's BBQ. Is this the Mill Creek that was down by the road to Holloway's? I think I'm getting cornfused... " A billion here, a billion there, and pretty soon you're talking real money" -attributed to Everett Dirksen

Diamond lils was above the airport with manderian gardens. He did move over to the old Vintage. The owners of diamonds, his parents own all the Mill creek cattle company's.

Wow. We went by Saturday night. Not sure how much work they've done inside but first impression wasn't good. Biggest surprise is the had a DJ playing rap/hip hop - competing with The Club? Weird mix of people, strange music for Big Bear. We left...rather quickly.
