VERY HOT WEATHER FOR THE INLAND AREAS EARLY THIS WEEK...
HIGH PRESSURE WILL BRING SIGNIFICANTLY WARMER CONDITIONS TO
THE INLAND AREAS ACROSS SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA...WITH THE HOTTEST
TEMPERATURES LASTING THROUGH WEDNESDAY. TEMPERATURES WILL LIKELY
RANGE 5 TO 10 DEGREES ABOVE AVERAGE...WITH SOME LOCATIONS
POTENTIALLY RUNNING UPWARDS TO 20 DEGREES ABOVE NORMAL. A FEW
LOCATIONS MAY EVEN FLIRT WITH RECORD BREAKING TEMPERATURES.
HIGH TEMPERATURES...

* LOWER DESERTS..................... 113 TO 120.

* UPPER DESERTS......................100 TO 110.

* INLAND EMPIRE VALLEYS..............98 TO 108.

* COASTAL VALLEYS....................90 TO 100.

* MOUNTAINS BELOW 6000 FEET..........90 TO 100.

* MOUNTAINS ABOVE 6000 FEET..........75 TO 90.

* INLAND ORANGE COUNTY...............85 TO 95.

EVEN THE OVERNIGHT TEMPERATURES MAY NOT BRING MUCH
RELIEF...ESPECIALLY TO THE LOWERS DESERTS AND THE COACHELLA
VALLEY.

LOW TEMPERATURES...

* LOWER DESERTS......................88 TO 95.

* COACHELLA VALLEY...................80 TO 88
DURING THIS HOT WEATHER...

* AVOID STRENUOUS OUTDOOR ACTIVITY IF POSSIBLE.

* IF YOU HAVE TO BE OUTSIDE...DRINK PLENTY OF NON-ALCOHOLIC AND NON-
CAFFEINATED FLUIDS.

* WEAR LIGHTWEIGHT...LOOSE-FITTING CLOTHING.

* WEAR A HAT...TO SHIELD YOURSELF FROM THE SUN.

* USE SUN SCREEN TO REDUCE POSSIBLE SUNBURN.

* TAKE ADVANTAGE OF AIR CONDITIONING AND SHADE IF POSSIBLE.

* NEVER LEAVE CHILDREN OR PETS IN ENCLOSED VEHICLES...EVEN
BRIEFLY.
THIS HOT WEATHER COULD BE DEADLY FOR UNPREPARED CAMPERS OR
HIKERS.

While I don't think we'll necessarily break any records here in the Big Bear Valley, we could approach 90º for the first time this year, and actually first time in several years. Heat indicies will likely get over 90º due to the increase in humidity as the week progresses. Infact, with any luck we'll cool off Wed-Fri with some afternoon thundershowers!

This weather is just insane. It was 104-degrees in my backyard here in Prescott this afternoon. There is no breeze. Just horrible heat. It's too hot to even go outside. We are in the high country of AZ at 5,300 feet, and IT'S NOT SUPPOSED TO GET THIS HOT!! We need the monsoons to actually happen this year. This is ridiculous!

Does, or did, the missing woman, Karen Doleman work at B's? She looked so familiar to my wife and I and we thought that was where we had seen her.
