That meadow is one of my favorites.
At the top is a water trough that seems to have water flow through it all year long. Last time I was there it did not hold water but the water ran down the center of the meadow. The only creatures I ran into there were a few deer and a burro who didn't like me parking in his living room. Bears are frequently seen there.

Don't argue with an idiot; people watching may not be able to tell the difference.

BG, a couple of years ago I saw 3 bear cubs way off near the tree line, I was on the fire road. My darn camera was in my backpack and well in my haste to stop, trying to upclip, etc..
I scared them off into the trees, probably just as well as I know mmoma was out there somewhere.
I was telling Cammy and Oden on Saturday that I have rarely seen deer anywhere up there.

There are a few side roads on the meadow side and that is where I have seen the deer. I have staked out the meadow hoping to see deer or bear in the meadow and haven't seen much in the meadow. I have some pictures of my grandfather hunting in that area. I think he was guiding someone back there. No roads then Probably one hundred years ago

Still blaming that on the bears?

So lets see- kids were in a tree building a fort, dropped a hammer, hit Goat in the face which caused him to crash into a camp fire where they were making fajitas thus burning his hand and getting fajita all over his shirt! Does that explain it?
