Evaporative coolers are O.K. untill the ambiant humidity hits about 30% It has been over 40% here the last few months. Better this week, Hopefuly summer is almost over.
So when does the snow pool start? Don't argue with an idiot; people watching may not be able to tell the difference.

We run our humidifiers to about 50% relative humidity and they have been very good at cooling the cabin. What doesn't kill me does NOT make me stronger. It makes me anxious, bitchy, and vulnerable...but nobody wants to see that embroidered on a pillow...Lisa Kogan...thx LXL...sorry i stole it from you! Ok, maybe I'm not sorry :-P

In big bear the most I have ever used is a fan and open windows and never missed anything more. Fighting 85 degrees is easier then fighting 105 Right now swamp cooler is on low and it is 80 degrees, and 44% humidity. Wish it would stay like this all year long Don't argue with an idiot; people watching may not be able to tell the difference.

I wouldn't use just a swamp cooler in the desert, but it would certainly aid an ac unit. Ac's suck the moisture out of the air so humidifying it would be a good thing What doesn't kill me does NOT make me stronger. Sun Diego. The CNN report is correct and we here in Georgia are outraged. This LEO is a 7yr K9 handler and SUPPOSED to be responsible. The poor pooch was in the car in the LEO's driveway and not discovered til 9PM. Many of us are calling for his firing and animal cruelty charges filed. LEO is currently on "paid leave".
