No hate. Some of us just don't want the bureaucracy, the extra rules, the politicians, and the taxes! The two entities are distinctly different and have stayed separate for a reason. You may choose to live where you want. Just don't go making the mistake of thinking that because YOU like where you live that EVERYONE else will agree with you. :-)

I haven't heard anyone say they "hated" one end of the valley or the other. The fact is there are many areas that make up bear valley and all have their own history and flavor. And each more or less wants it to stay that way. If some say they hate the city of Big Bear Lake, that has nothing to do with the people ony the city as a government.They have screwed up almost everything they have done from the begining. Not that CSD is that much better. The truely unincorporated areas seem to run much smoother Don't argue with an idiot; people watching may not be able to tell the difference.

a bit late to the party.. you don't need the waiver to ride the sky chair if you are walking. Only bike riders need the waiver. The walk down is a different path this year and steeper.
