From Don Henly in 1976.

Then the chilly winds blew down
Across the desert
through the canyons of the coast,
to the Malibu
Where the pretty people play,
hungry for power
to light their neon way
give them things to do

I still have the LP of the Eagles "Hotel California".

That was a good old song and album!

I started out with nothing and I still have most of it!

Though I live about 35 miles from the Woolsey fire, I have so many professional friends and colleagues that have been evacuated. Just another tragic episode in So Cal.

I am getting tired of hearing about the various celebs who have lost their homes in the fire. I feel sorry for them as they lose much too. However, many, though not all, of the celebrities can easily rebuild. The vast number of people who were burned out will struggle with the insurance payments and using credit to furnish their homes. No matter how "important" a victim of the fire is, that person is a victim.

but they serve a purpose.. annoying as it is, the celebrities will help keep national/world attention on this story long after the rest of the victims are forgotten.

...but you don't hear about the quiet ones that donate tons of money to help like Sandra Bullock.

Hi Owl,
I'm already on WU but the wiFi connection was disrupted when one of my Charter ports (?) quit on me. WU was installed on 2g and now only 5g is working. I'm waiting for tech support (Mrs. Crunch) to straighten it out.

Or if you already signed up for a WU station ID you can ad your Ambient station on there.

Cap'N what trouble with WU. On your Ambient dashboard click the devices tab on the left and then Weather underground and enter you device info.

Dian,
I too recently purchased the Ambient 2902(a) and am very pleased with it. The installation and console setup was a breeze. However, hooking up to Weather Underground was more challenging but I suspect that would be the case with Davis as well. I'm currently experiencing a problem with WU and if you're interested in learning more, send me a PM.

A while back I was also looking for that WX station thread. Just wanted to mention some more stuff about WS-2902(A). If you want to add another display console for another part of the house, you get the WS-1900. Same thing as 2902, just no wifi, which you don't want anyway. Conflicts reporting to web. I bought a complete WS-1900 for $92 shipped and now have extra display console AND complete sensor array (outside unit) which is exactly same as 2902 for replacement parts. A WS-1900 console only is about $53 shipped and that console & array sepparately is about $130.
