I found this map today showing areas that the Forest Service is aware of where their roads have been damaged and or closed due to damage. This will come in handy if you're looking for an offroad adventure and want to find out if your route is passable. [Click Here]

Great to hear MaryW! Thank you for the heads up! Got a tweet that the roadway was open at 12:10. Firefighters mopping up the fire noted below. Be safe and yes, highway 38 is a nice ride... Really prefer it over the 330/18 route (especially being out east).

11:45pm 4/22/19 CHP was setting up cones and flares at the bottom of the hill. Offer said 330 was closed to traffic. Cars diverted off at Highland.... nice long trip around to Highway 38. Beautiful moon though!

You betcha guys! We’ll do our very BEST to keep it from coming up here to our beautiful mountain top! We’ve been starting to get some small ones popping up already.

Vegetation Fire - HWY330 at the bottom east of the 330 and north of Highland Ave. Size-up is 150x150 foot spot, medium fuels, slow ROS. Couple transients in the fire area. ME228, ME226, ME241, & ME227 all enroute or onscene. Hope they pick it up quick. Just FYI if anyone is driving DTH right now.
