The trucks with the mechanical claw require only one worker on the truck and will solve the ice berm issue (they have a good reach).

We've had the claw truck with one driver for a long time in Costa Mesa. Truck has a long arm as you say. Of course we have no snow berms. It's amazing that people still put out other stuff that the truck won't pick up.

Don't blame me! I was left unsupervised!

Only problem with that NSA is no claw here. Take a look at the videos. I originally thought the side claw would be OK with exception of those days when we get those 5ft plus solid ice berms. Still minimum 2 men on truck. The trashcan is wheeled across the road to in front of the same dumpster on the forks. a device that attaches to the dumpster lifts and dumps, tech wheels it back. So tech is going to dig out can after it gets bermed back in......if the can even survives such. And what about the cans after empty and reberming. How are they going to survive that. Oh, that would be owner neglect and we would be charged for replacement, Good idea in concept but only in certain areas of BBC, Terrible application of the concept along with the blatant lying from the CSD. The entire process is turning into a really big joke that the locals will be the eventual butt of.

The only good thing about this new device is when CSD realizes that they have just wasted a bunch of taxpayer time and money, they can at least say that they didn't have to scrap a bunch of side claw trucks. These devices will end up in the back of the warehouse never to see the light of day again. Kind of like our generator, the snow plow gates and the weed mogs.

Yes, I saw the video. The company DTH is a commercial (not government) firm that won the contract because they had the new equipment.

Chattie-glad to hear the pup is doing ok. Remember when changing foods, no more than 1/8th change at a time, wait a week, then change another 1/8th and so on. It helps their systems adjust and if anything is rough or amiss (like pancreas) the impact isn't as tough on them.

Further analysis from different angle photos depicts that small fire was from a 'heavy fireplace smoke' Oh well, the height above from nearest chimney seemed much too high.. and not enough coffee ☕ had been had at 7:20am.
