Well now I wonder where my trash will be picked up from. We have a thru lot in Sugarloaf and our trash has always been on the back street. They delivered the new trash can to the front driveway.

I bet there are several corner properties that have no gate or driveway on the main road, but only on the side street. CSD is planning to require that these people roll their receptacles onto the street and around the corner for pickup?

Pick up went smoothly this morning with exception of recycling truck breaking down out front. Seems trash guy consensus is this sucks but it is what it is and they will adjust. I do hear that the side claw units are still in the plans and first unit should be here in a couple of months. Good time to break it in with the snow and ice. Still not understanding why pushing implementation when not ready for the whole program. Unless this is a truly a real time test?? The device on the front of the dumpster is in no way advantageous as to time, cleanliness, efficiency. Only thing it is good for is the guys don't have to actually lift the cans any longer. I see them at some point just opening the cans and throwing the bags into the dumpster themselves rather than adding time to their route. I'm a family of 2 adults and a bunch of dogs. 1 week filled the blue can full and the new can to the brim, had to adjust some to the lid would fit. No way a family of 4 or more can do this with just one can. I understand we have dump cards but why I'm I being required now to invest a lot more time and money into dealing with trash that is already been paid for in property taxes. So where is our cut with having to deal with this mismanagement?? I guess it is legal for government and utility to rip off the public in this manner when in the private sector someone would be losing a job, a company or something substantial with this what amounts to shoving 5 pounds of dirt into a 3 pound coffee can. Lets see if CSD can pull their butts out of the flames soon.

Soooo... this afternoon I see the huge truck with the bins. Two guys standing at my front gate. I go out to see what is going on. (I received my bin last week.) I was asked if I had received my bin. Stupid me I said yes. Then I was politely asked if I could get them the bin #. Gosh darn it, If I would of just said NO I could of had another one for FREE! Oh well, I will sleep better tonight knowing I didn’t lie!

Poor Mike - he is going to have to drive dth with all his windows down on poop delivery day. He will not be a happy camper in the winter!

Can you use goat poop in the garden? If so, maybe I can haul some dth for you and I will use it in my vegetable garden.

Hey Deb! Well, it is haul it down the hill with him or go to the dump. Those seem to be our only options. I do use some of it in the flowed beds but it really doesn’t break down very quickly. The poo it self doesn’t have much smell. The urine in the shavings and straw is the stinky part! Thank You so much for the offer! 😘

Compost. Dog, Cat, Pig are NO, but goat, sheep, horse, are all good.

In my neighborhood, we used to fill the holes in the dirt road with horse manure. The dump wouldn't accept it.

One can isn't enough. With my visiting daughter's family, using the can too, we could barely get the lid down. This means there is no extra room when you clean out areas of the house. And adding yard waste is a joke. Or odd shaped items, holiday and birthday packaging. Delivery boxes. I don't own a truck to take things to the dump.

I assume, now that they will be picking up a lot less trash, our bill will be lowered?

Where my father lives, they have three, same size containers. One for hard debris, recyclables, and garbage.

, I bet you still believe in the Easter Bunny and Tooth Fairy there SeaSide. No bloody way will we ever see a reduction in our property taxes. This one of those Bend Over situations without benefit of Vaseline.

I preferred it when the trash nazi was the lady in the cubicle at the transfer station. I seem to have been promoted to that title here at the Ranch with new trash procedures.

Thanks IDK, about the Snow Valley Training for SAR, they buzzed my neighbors and my home again, this time (I'm outside working) maybe a little over two power poles higher than my roof. Was wondering why so low, and a couple of times too, but training would explain.
