I know a couple of you are reloaders. I am preparing to take the plunge into reloading. My first steps will be with .38/.357. I understand that there are different primers for the .357 that are faster/hotter. My question is simply how to decide on what primer to use for the small pistol cartridge? I see primers from CCI, Remington, Federal, Winchester, etc. What do YOU use and why?

I don't reload for pistols, however I use Federal Match Grade primers and CCI Benchrest primers for rifle reloading. Why? Because they are more consistent in manufacture which means more to a rifle shooter shooting hundreds of yards than it would to a handgun shooter shooting tens of yards. Pick a couple different types and try them all to see which works the best for your load in your gun. Work Smart Kid!
