Just an update to all of you with Charter Cable on the Mountaintop.

As most of you with Charter Cable know, there have been issues most of this week with slowness, unreachable sites, etc. Over the past couple of days I have been working with them and pushing them to resolve this issue.

At the Ski Resorts, we employ several modems at 3 different locations which costs the resorts well over $1000 per month. Its not only a priority for me (and all of you), but for BBMR. I have yet to get a hold of my secret senior tech (Leon) who has helped us in the past with issues with service.

By what I can tell on tests, any traffic leaving the mountain is experiencing packet loss (hence slowness or even dead pages). Traffic within the mountain is fine (I can VPN or remote access from home to work without any problems). I have forwarded this information to Charter in hopes it can help them fix the problem.

I will continue to contact whoever I can in order to get this problem resolved as its not just affecting people's homes, but businesses who spend a lot of money with them.

Update as of tonight at 9:30pm: Charter is aware of a problem and are working on it. No ETA as of now. If I can get a hold of Leon, he might be able to shed more light on this subject as he is the god of Internet routing.

Hang in there and be rest assured that I will continue to followup daily and double my efforts until Charter fixes this problem!

WINTER IS OVER AND SUMMER IS ALMOST HERE!

It seems to be fine this morning. Now why do I have NO signal on my cell phone?! (AT&T)

Since I've been up here today, I've experienced no delays at all. Maybe they've fixed it? Thanks, Craig!

I think everyone is having trouble with Charter this week? We just got here and there's no cable. Luckily, we also have a backup..... DISH, but just the minimum. Heads will roll if we can't see Lakers Sunday night!!
We got that 'not authorized to use' message so called cable. Their message let us know that they are the problem. Well, great.
Please share any news of them corrrecting their problem.

Ahhhh, hubby now knows that both Lakers and Dodgers can be viewed on DISH since they're not ESPN.

I am over Charter. I come up the hill a few times a month and half of the time it does not work and I have to call for service. Switching to Direct TV.

Charter has always work fine for me. Plus I cannot get Verizon internet in Sugarloaf.

Maybe the problems some people have is because they are not here full time? I could have a problem and just reboot. Also if you don't pay your bill on time they cut no slack and shut it off. I can't remember the company that came before them but they would let you be late a little but Charter won't.

Well, Swilda came onto chat today asking about Charter prolblems and saying she had no Charter and has that 'no authorized usuage' message, also. Therefore, it's not just parttimers. And we certainly paid our bill. Funny that some people have no problems while others have no Charter. Weird.
