I'm luckily still married and what I love most is cooking dinner for my girls. They always have a good meal after coming home from work. Wife, daughter, and granddaughter.

the thing I miss most about being married was coming home from work to a nice hot meal. Now it's either the microwave or I just go without

In the old days it was the first thing I thought of in the morning.
Now I have to figure where I am, and usually who I am

But the key is that you have to remember it tomorrow. Lots of notes on paper helps.

never do today what you can put off until tomorrow

I figure I'll remember the next day and then just pick up where I left off.

With my memory when it gets that way I'll forget what I was doing

I'm getting a little older, so it takes five days to finish off my preparation.

I was doing something similar.

warmed my buns and cooked some hot dogs. Not much of a dinner but then it was quick

I had to go out to the kitchen to flip my meat, my rump, my rump roast that I am marinating for sauerbraten for an Oktoberfest party on Saturday.

Well, that wasn't EXACTLY the analogy I had in mind, but true enough.

I have almost stepped on a couple when stepping over rocks (snakes, not girls) but have never had one try to strike. The closest was hiking up on skyline walking through heavy brush I heard on rattle.
Had no clue where he was backed out the way I came in and that seemed to work.
We were in Holcomb creek by the beaver ponds and I saw what appeared to be a garden snake with rattles. I left that one alone too

so were talking about girls now?

They know what size prey they want, and it's not you. They will hide unless felt threatened.

the nice thing about living around town was there wasn't many rattlesnakes.
When we started going down to cactus flats
I had to learn to watch for them, and that you can't move tree limbs with your shoulder, oh yah and cholla is not fun to hide riding a bike. Most of the places I like in Holcomb don't have a lot of rattlesnakes either. I have been lucky to not having seen to many rattlesnakes. I have also only seen one of the king snakes that look like a coral snake. Very cool.
