This Facebook video was posted by the County of Los Angeles Department of Parks & Recreation showing the rescue of the Big Bear eagle.

The FOBBV, who has reviewed the video, stated that the eagle appears to be Jackie, but the statement falls short of a definitive identification.

It seems for now that we may know what happened!

Hi mimoo! Although I take credit for posting the link here at SCM, I did not produce nor edit it.

The video was produced by David James, who obviously has been an eagle spotter in Big Bear for some time.

His videos and observations are great, and his channel adds quite a bit of perspective regarding our Big Bear eagles!

Marty, thank you for taking the time to edit and post this video for us. It's mesmerizing to watch these majestic eagles in action.

This is a fascinating YouTube video documenting two sub-adult eagles as they harass and hit Jackie during the days before the rescue. There is a fair amount of video showing Jackie grounded near Grout Bay.

Not to fuel any speculation, but this video may offer insight as to the circumstances surrounding Jackie.

I keep hearing rumors that Jackie the eagle was found injured on the lake. BUT I can't find substantiating info. Anyone have any facts to share?

We do not have an update on the bald eagle rescued in Big Bear in the early morning hours. The initial wildlife rescue group did a light exam and did not see any obvious injuries other than the eagle seemed lethargic, but that it was still somewhat active.

The eagle was later transferred to another wildlife group that is more equipped and experienced in these rescues. We have been in contact with them and when they have any information to share, they will reach out to us. Initial exams, tests and/or x-rays can take time to get results.

When we hear something, we will relay that information to you. Thank you for your well wishes for the eagle and please be patient during this difficult time.

Just to add to the update... Jackie has not been seen.

No updates on the injured eagle.

There have been some social media posts (including a picture posted yesterday) of an eagle claimed to be Jackie standing in front of the sign @ Dana Point Park. Two other posts claim an injured adult eagle was found in or near Grout Bay... the poster indicated authorities were called.

Other than that NO official information as to the Eagle's identity, injuries, or current rescue location.

No word from FOBBV or Trish and Owen's site.
