No thunderstorms around the area. Common to hear explosions from 29 palms when we have an early wind/flow as we're experiencing!

I've heard that bulb trick, must be an incandescent correct? The neighbor does it in his lil booster pump shed.

A bare garden hose was exposed ~8+ foot out of the top of well house tho', to meet the underground tap.

Doo- hang a 40 watt bulb in the pump house. Should keep things from freezing until we get weeks of sustained freezing temps.

I thought it was the gravel trucks working late, Boots. I heard a couple.

Good to know holeinbow. But I had a doohickey-gardenhose-rigged. Straight off the well pump, exposed out of the top of well house. Bypassed the melted water tank.

That would've popped. If I didn't get on it today. My first running a faucet to prevent a freeze break.

Thunder? Where? Been so you know? Rumbling booms. Thought they might be blasting at first but either the base is practicing munitions or that's thunder!

No water lines blown but had an above ground sprinkler valve not quite explode but start leaking pretty good with icicles on the wires. Turned it all off and drained the system, thats work for spring. Piping wise, it takes a couple days of 20 for a high and 15 for a low to make pipes burst. God knows ive had my share on my ol' house...

Hah! Thought we just swooped your heat during Southerly winds.

(helps having a WX station to recall)
At the moment we are higher (That inversion word) 35.6° [Click Here] vs your 34°F [Click Here]

I may drop lower, by early morning, if the winds stay N(w).

Cool chit.

saw a good metroid on last friday, about 1 am. went almost perfectly east to west, a little to the north of us. covered perhaps 45 * E. to about 60* W.

Long molten golden cast, with evenly fracturing sparkles, like a modern shooting rocket type of firework. Guessing was probably rocky/breccia type meteor, due to thousands of break off sparkles that covered a wide path, perhaps 1* wide.

Great observation doo, the offshore flow disrupts the inversion, equalizing temperatures. Because you are higher, you are/were cooler!
