Hacienda Big Bear - Not Just Great Mexican Food

Okay, went to Hacienda last night and on the recommendation of several folks got the Hacienda Cheeseburger. Before you laugh, I must say that it was one of the best burgers I have had at a restaurant in Big Bear. Nice 1/2 pound charbroiled patty, perfectly cooked, toasty bun, and of course all the fixings to make a great burger.

If you end up going there and want to skip the Mexican menu for a change, you will not be disappointed with their hamburgers.

I have had burgers and fries many time at La Paws and they were pretty good. So, I am not surprised Hacienda (Gus and Nancy) make great hambies.

Now I've seen it as well and will keep it in mind next time I decide to try another off the grid place...

I am glad to see some decent burger here on the mountain.Im not a get the burger fan & most Mexican restaurants seem to miss the mark for me.I gotta say this mountain could use a great crossover place that has great food...Maybe Cam N Tina's burgers & Tacos, lol.

My wife and I visited Hacienda on Thursday for a late lunch. It was our first time there in a few years. We both had carnitas. Very ample portions for a lunch special and quite good@ I enjoyed black beans with mine while my wife opted for double rice. Great service, I wish I had gotten the name of the young lady who was our server.

I was under the impression that at one time Hacienda and El Jacalito were owned by the same people. Is that true today?

Last I knew, that was still true.
