Which snow resort is more suited for beginning snowboarders?

All these years I have gotten away with taking my two daughters 14 and 16 YOS snowboarding in the backcountry but this year my girls are bugging me to take them to a snow resort.
Some years back we tried Mt. High and lets just say that we must have picked "'Gang bangers & Skinheads Day" to attend. We left after two hours and have not been back or tried another local resort since.
The Mrs. and I do not ski or snowboard, so we are looking for a resort that will allow at least of one of us to hang out in the resort while they the girls do their thing.
Any recommendations?

Not at all, both Snow Summit or Bear mountain would be excellent choices. Bear Mtn has a unique and progressive learning area for beginners.

Thanks for the response, our girls have been snowboarding in the back country for the past four years but I think they may benefit from Bear Mountain's "Beyond Beginner" lesson package posted on their website.
We'll wait for the holidays to be over to give them a try.
I guess this means I won't have to spend hours making them their own private snow park with jumps and berms anymore!

I personally think Bear Mountain is a better place to learn than Snow Summit, though both are great. Also, the bar/restaurant/lodge area at Bear is way better than anything at Summit to hang out at.

Snow Valley would also be an excellent choice...it's a little farther away but far less crowded. They have a sale going on the ends tonight...4 ANYTIME lift tickets for $99. These tickets could me used any way that you want. You could also call and ask about the locals special (similar price)

When i was at Snow Valley yesterday it was barely crowded, and me and my friend were talking about how perfect it would be to bring her 4 year old son p to learn there. Nothing like having a huge bunny run with the perfect pitch to learn on and no one to worry about running you over

Summit or Valley are my choices. Bear seems to have more "out of control" or "less control" riders. I've gotten plowed into every time there. I think Valley is usually less crowded. Cammy or R would know for sure.

Bear is the place to learn for frist time. Bear has the best green and upper runs, Summit is the best for blue runs, Snow Valley is less crowded on weekends and is a great resort. but all resorts do not have crowded runs mid week.
But if you like to just hang out Bear has one of the biggiest decks at over 13000 SQ BBQ'S and outside Bar. it is the best hang out up here.

Regularly. And that alone has to be comforting to your daughters since they're used to snowboarding without having to worry about looking above themselves for others that may not be completely in control of their skis or snowboards.
