Deep Creek Hot Springs

Hi all!
...anyone been recently? Is it worthwhile? Can you get there from here?
Some of the on-line comments seem to say there is a very sketchy element to the place. Any insight is very much appreciated!

I haven't been there yet this summer, though I was there about two years ago. I went early in the day on a Sunday and didn't have or see any problems although it does seem to be the type of place which could easily attract a bad element.
I will say that it does appear to be a very popular destination. While on a MC ride in the hills between Green Valley Lake and Fawnskin on Saturday I encountered a couple of different groups who were either on their way there or wanted to know how to get there. I have a friend who would like to see the place so I'll likely be up there for the day at some point this summer.

The early Sunday plan sounds smart, I think we will make the trek.
Is the road 'tween here and there passable without 4wd?

I flew the canyon on Friday of last week. Lots of water. Looks hard to get to the good locations.

It's been a couple of years since I've been up there, at the time the roads were in poor shape but I'm not sure what their condition is now. I may make the trek in my 4x4 in a couple of weeks just to see how it is and to show a friend the place. I know this past Saturday I ran into a couple of people who were attempting to drive the dirt roads down there; one of them was in an older stock Chevy 4x4 full-sized P/U truck. I haven't been yet this summer so I'm not sure what sort of shape the trail is in. When you go let us know what the roads are like
