WEEKEND WORK ON SR 18 TO EXPEDITE PAVING PROJECT
SCM ALERT🚨, Wed Oct 03 2018, 05:01PM

SAN BERNARDINO – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will have the contractor, All American Asphalt, for the State Route 18 (SR 18) paving and guardrail project work during the next two weekends to expedite the project in preparation for colder temperatures and to also expedite striping for better visibility during fog and storm activity.

The final pavement work will take place on Saturday and Sunday, October 6, 7, 13 and 14 from 6:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., weather permitting. The paving will take place in some locations of the mainline and in the turnouts. Once the paving is completed the striping will take place. The entire project is expected to be completed by mid-November.

Lane closures will be necessary for the work with one lane open in each direction between Lower Waterman Canyon and SR 138 (Crestline Cutoff).

Motorists are advised to use State Route 330 (SR 330) as a detour to avoid delays.

Thank you for your patience and please slow down for the lane closures and work crews.
