Oh wow! That sounds impressive for Bogus Basin! Yep, Tamarack is getting a new high speed quad that will go back where the Wildwood lift was before it got removed during their bankruptcy. (It ended up at Brian Head, Utah.) Also, Bogus Basin is replacing Chair 2/Morning Star with a high speed quad this summer!

Owl, how long do you think they will be skiing in your neck of the woods?
Cammy, same question for Big Bear?

Haven't heard any firm dates but mid April is tentative time frame...lots of snow so may depend on demand
What Owl said sounds like it could apply to Idaho or BBMR.

Yes, it was a miserable day on the slopes but with 5-6' new snow skiing was good...you just couldn't see where you were going. Shafer Butte was blowing, foggy and cold.

Thanks, I likre to share but don't want to overdo it. I know there are a lot of Idaho friends on here.
Moving just west of Idaho, here's the new triple chair at Mt. Spokane, WA which opened up 270 acres of new terrain this season. This is from one week ago.
How much was on the bench on the deck? Looked to me like about twice the thickness of the 2x6.

I had about a inch and a half on my patio table but most of what came down didn't stick. Heard that tomorrow night it may snow again and with near record lows.
Last weeks snow was the 2nd time in recorded history it snowed in sept in the Spokane/CDA history. The last time was in 1927

May he says Spokane airport received record snowfall. Previously recorded on Oct 8th was a trace, they got 3.3". Sitting on just about 5" here.

Hi MGJ, Owl and Cornbread. You guys need to share some of that bounty with your friends in SoCal.

Wish we could. We got another 2 1/2 inches last night. Spokane got 4 inches and closed the schools. The word around here is that this could be a bad winter. I would love to sent you about 100 inches this winter

You'll get yours soon enough. Did get to put some snow miles on the new Ford Ranger...

Today is the first time I can recall (many years) that every lift at both resorts are operating, including the usual holdouts of 3 & 8 at Bear and #5 at Summit.
Two questions come to mind...
Has anyone ever ridden on a day like today and scored every chair at both resorts in one day?
It would be fun to try.
And #2...any talk about a Big Bear version of the Peak-to-Peak or Base-to Base?
