Behind Boney Mountain in Santa Monica Mountains adjacent to Newbury Park. Winds are actually in our favor but winds are fickle.

From Don Henly in 1976.

Then the chilly winds blew down
Across the desert
through the canyons of the coast,
to the Malibu
Where the pretty people play,
hungry for power
to light their neon way
give them things to do

I still have the LP of the Eagles "Hotel California".

That was a good old song and album!

Though I live about 35 miles from the Woolsey fire, I have so many professional friends and colleagues that have been evacuated. Just another tragic episode in So Cal.

I am getting tired of hearing about the various celebs who have lost their homes in the fire. I feel sorry for them as they lose much too. However, many, though not all, of the celebrities can easily rebuild. The vast number of people who were burned out will struggle with the insurance payments and using credit to furnish their homes. No matter how "important" a victim of the fire is, that person is a victim.

but they serve a purpose.. annoying as it is, the celebrities will help keep national/world attention on this story long after the rest of the victims are forgotten.

...but you don't hear about the quiet ones that donate tons of money to help like Sandra Bullock.
