Mercy Air/Air Methods Insurance

I've been stumbling around now to find out where to apply for this helicopter insurance. After the discussion several weeks ago I finally realized it would be smart to join. Duh! I checked out this thread on the subject
[Click Here] from a year ago but links in there don't work.
I did mistakenly apply to one called Mercy Flights (because I didn't catch the "Flights" rather than "Air" part of the company's name) but they were nice enough to send me a check to refund my subscription amount with an explanation that they didn't serve my area. Embarrassing to say the least and I plead senioritis.
So, can someone point me in the right direction? Thanks!

Hi All, Mercy Air is replacing its membership program with a new program called "NO MEMBERSHIP REQUIRED". Under this new program patients flown by Mercy Air do not need a membership! By working through Mercy Air's/Air Methods Patient Advocates the average out of pocket expense for patients in the Big Bear area is $105.00!!!
Also, if you are on Medicare or MediCal you are already covered for such flights by any operator, so no need to purchase a membership from any service. And keep in mind that in order to take advantage of a membership benefit you MUST be flown by the member company. If their aircraft is not available (on a flight, down for maintenance or no crew available) and you are flown by another company, you are not covered by your membership. More to come!

Thanks Mark!
I had heard that the fire department had stopped doing new policies.
So now we don't have to worry about a $40,000 bill if we need to be flown dth?
Thanks for the info, John!

Sorry, Mark. I'd meant to close out the thread after you'd responded to my pm. But, in the end, I guess this gave you a chance to get the word out to a larger audience. Looking forward to that more information you mentioned!
