APPLE FIRE GROWS TO OVER 26,000 ACRES (MON 8/3)
The Apple Fire has grown to over 26,000 acres as of Monday afternoon. The fire did not see the explosive growth that we saw over the weekend. Although the fire has crested the mountains south east of San Gorgonio last night, firefighting aircraft have been able to keep the spread in check. Weather is improving which is much needed after record high temperatures and low humidity.
