Wow! This is the best season ever! Every episode is better than the last. Thank God for DVR. We just zip past the commercials.

I didn't get "addicted" to 24 until its 3rd season. I am the owner of all the previous complete seasons and I would agree that this season is probably the best since season 1.
Re:

bills grandson, Wed Apr 01 2009, 11:09PM
I love 24 this has been the best as far as twists and turns, and I'm sure it is not close to being finished. Looks like jack is done for but I hope there will be an antidote
they do seem to use a common theme but keep it exciting.
Re:

In the early parts of this series, we were screaming for Mme. President to fire her Chief of Staff. Then he resigned!! Our current thinking is that the conniving daughter will be implicated in the death of her brother. Or not ...
Re:

surfy, Fri Apr 03 2009, 05:59PM
Now that's a thought...I can't stand the daughter's character. She's way bad.

Went to a talk by FBI types who are involved in homeland security coordination. After the Q&A session, as they were leaving I asked if they ever talk to Jack Bauer. I got a quick glance and the answer: "Every day." Didn't even crack a smile, wink, nothing.

I agree. There are thousand of people like Jack acting in defense of our country. The seals, CIA, FBI, and other speciel forces people could make jack look loke a pansey , and they are acting without a sript.I am sure they have defeated many attempts on our country since 911

Ture, so very true.

Twists & turns! Will this be the last season for Jack? Could Tony take over as the lead? I think there will be an antidote and Jack's daughter will reappear as a heroine, while the daughter of the President will be implicated in many of the days problems.
Re:
24
bills grandson, Mon Apr 06 2009, 10:03PM
they have already killed off one old timer. I am afraid Tony may go with the missles, and jack will survive with the expiremental meds.
I think yhe new "cloe" will turn out to be a very bad guy. besides she looks to much like octamom.
I want my cloe back now.

I do miss Chloe! What a great character.
Re:

Craig (KJ6BCM), Thu Apr 23 2009, 05:47PM
I miss Chloe too, however this season is the most suspenseful YET! On the edge of my couch at all times!

Re:
24
bills grandson, Thu Apr 23 2009, 06:01PM
after Janeane Garofalo's recent crude remarks about those who went to tea parties I can omly hope she is a bad guy and meets a gruesome death at chloe's hand. She was around the first few episodes. and I think she is still in the stoirline. Best show I remember from the series was when chloe went rambo
I guess she just had or is having a baby so maybe she is gone for good.
There is definetly a big hole in the show with so many regulars being killed off and Tony apparently either a bad guy or really deep cover. Maybe this is the last season?
Re:
24
bc, Thu Apr 23 2009, 08:49PM
I'm suspecting "deep cover", of his own making. Guessing he ran across some high level evil doers, and is planning some ultimate revenge, like planting the bioweapon in their midst. But that's just what I'd do.
Re:

Craig (KJ6BCM), Fri Apr 24 2009, 02:05PM
What is everyone's take on Almeta? (have no idea how to spell his name). Is he good or bad or both? He flip flops more than anyone

Re:
24
bills grandson, Fri Apr 24 2009, 06:06PM
if they are planning on a next season they have to make him the good guy. nobody is left unless jack is saved somehow which will be kind of lame at this point
Re:
24
surfy, Sat Apr 25 2009, 09:08AM
If he is a good guy, why did he kill that FBI agent? I know there are strange things that happen, but that one blew me away!
Re:
24
surfy, Sat Apr 25 2009, 09:09AM
And you're right Craig. This season is definitely an edge-of-the-seat season. I just LOVE it!!!!
Re:
24
bills grandson, Sat Apr 25 2009, 10:47AM
'if" he is a good guy the only reason I could figure is the other guy would have shot him anyway, to protect his cover, or he was a bad guy to.. It is really hard to figure out this show. thats what keeps it good.
I can't figure why kim is back, unless it is to help jack now that he can't say no. or what the president's daughter is up to.
really bad when you rope guys into soap's

Re:

bills grandson, Fri May 22 2009, 03:06PM
kind of a dumb ending we have no clue what next season will bring for many of the leads
I don't like the theme where they apologize to the muslims everyday, but that ended pretty good and the president did the right thingI think.
And of course we were saved..... at least until next season
Re:
24
surfy, Fri May 22 2009, 04:15PM
I thought the ending would be more of a thrill, but you're right. The Pres did the right thing.
Re:
24
SocalMan, Mon May 25 2009, 08:12PM
I thought the season ender was well done! They have so many ways to go for next season. Will Jack Bauer return? The door is open for the show to continue even without Jack, though I don't think Keifer will allow it go that way.
Re:
24
surfy, Tue May 26 2009, 08:55PM
Oh, my God! I can't even imagine "24" without Jack Bauer. It would NOT be the same.

How do you like the current season, No. 9? Has anyone noticed that Jack's body count is much lower then in past seasons?
Re:
24
surfy, Wed Mar 03 2010, 12:15PM
I'm enjoying this season! Jack's body count does seem much lower, doesn't it? It's always a challenge to deal with his "whisper talk." (Even Tony Almeda was afflicted, but he's gone now.) It's always fun to see what Jack will do next.
Re:

bc, Wed Mar 03 2010, 02:03PM
Tony Olmeda showed up on a recent new episode of Burn Notice as a semi- bad guy.
Guys from The Unit (other than President Palmer / Sgt Maj Blane) are showing up on Burn Notice and other shows.

I know it is just a show, but anyone else pissed that Rene Walker is dead? Thought it would have been a good ending to 24 that they ride off into the sunset together. Oh well, just a show.
Re:

surfy, Sun May 02 2010, 11:41AM
Yes. I was surprised when Renee Walker was killed. I guess she won't be in the movie!
Re:
24
bc, Sun May 02 2010, 12:24PM
They just had their "Wrap Party", and almost EVERYONE was there. There are some pretty major Twitter users that frequently post pictures and show news. There's talk of the movie, etc.
Best on Twitter to "follow" are:
@rajskub (Chloe)
@wersching (Rene)
@iamKiefer (Jack)
Annie Wersching (Rene) is majorly pregnant, which is a clue to how much delay there is in the presentation. She may appear in the movie, because "obviously"(Kiefer's word, not mine) they can't stick to the 24 format.
There are others of cast, crew, friends and fans who Tweet, but at least one of the other cast members is politically irritating. Burt Reynolds once said, wisely:"Who cares what a 'bleep' actor thinks!?"
Re:
24
SocalMan, Mon May 03 2010, 10:03PM
Jack's body count went up tonight! I think it was 7. Plus a deliberate wounding of a NYC cop. It is getting intense and I think a fine season overall. Much better then last year.
Re:
24
SocalMan, Mon May 24 2010, 10:01PM
JACK BAUER LIVES. Pity the poor Russians or whoever is going to mess with the USA in the movie!!!!!
Re:

Well, it is done. Great season but I am a little bummed that is is over. One of the best shows ever on TV. Oh well, now I can catch up on some reading and maybe I can drink more kool-aid too.
Re:

surfy, Sun May 30 2010, 01:34PM
I, too, am sad to see "24" go. It was great entertainment. I hope they do do a movie. Great fun!
Re:
24
bills grandson, Sun May 30 2010, 02:10PM
The thing is they left room to come back if they choose to. Also plenty left for a spin off. Plenty of people to move into leading rolls.
But a decent ending.
It was getting predictable
Jack does need to mellow out a bit he was getting a bit out of line the last few "hours"
