Benny ⭐12 minute(s) ago Yhey just bumped the launch back, unfortunately. Still viewable, but not as exceptional as a twilight launch. Liftoff is targeted for 8:32 p.m. PT, with backup opportunities available until 11:24 p.m.
Airport Razz40 minute(s) ago Needed to get one of the blowers repaired before the weekend. Found out that our new small engine repair shop up here has closed for good. Not liking the 'new' form of Big Bear as it is coming to be.

BootsNBridles5 hour(s) ago Trail- hope your horse is feeling better. This weird changing weather is playing havoc with everyone's livestock!
Trail Rider7 hour(s) ago Thanks Benny, that must be the storm where my thoroughbred was pushing snow. He was a tall horse so I know was around 4 feet out by Erwin Lake.
Benny ⭐8 hour(s) ago The original March Miracle was in 1991. It was a colder storm that dropped several feet of snow (3-5') across all mountain communities above about 4,000 feet.
Last year was the closest thing to that and even surpassed it across the Rim communities. It is unlikely this storm will beat that... but a couple feet of snow is quite possible.
While not super rare, it is fairly uncommon to experience a storm this strong so late in the season.
Jellylorum8 hour(s) ago That March Miracle was the first time I had to rake snow off the roof. The doors in my home were sticking due to the weight on my roof.
Trail Rider9 hour(s) ago One year we we having an end of season party for some folks at Snow Summit, would have been in the late 70s and we got 2 feet of snow April 10th I think.
Trail Rider9 hour(s) ago AR, yes a March Miracle. My thoroughbred was pushing snow up to his chest.
Airport Razz9 hour(s) ago Wow, just found out the new small engine repair guy on Keiner is permanently closed. Another needed service gone once again. SMH
Airport Razz9 hour(s) ago TrailRider, I believe what you are refering to is what we all 'lovingly' refer to as the March Miracle. We were snowed in for 3-4 days, took a week to get Artic Circle open. We had cabins in Lake Arrowhead and even after a week they only had 1 lane on the main road going around the lake. It was a rough couple of weeks.
BBSAC9 hour(s) ago Another power outage in Whispering Forest @&$!”)? It’s getting ridiculous!
Trail Rider9 hour(s) ago I remember a storm end of March I think around 1992 where we got 3 to 4 feet of snow. Benny maybe you have that recorded?
