If power is shutoff, the outage will impact customers on the west side of Big Bear, from Metcalf Bay to Big Bear Dam on the South Shore, and from Fawnskin to the Big Bear Dam on the North Shore.

I hope that SCE is on time this time. We all try to plan. Those of use with generator will need to turn them on if they don't have the fancy automatic ones. Also if you have a fireplace you can use that to keep warm overnight. Live in the mountians is interesting.

Please be advised that due to scheduled maintenance on Southern California Edison (SCE) lines serving the Big Bear Valley, customers will experience an outage in the hours between 11:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 16, to 7 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 17.
Customers who require power to operate life-essential medical equipment are encouraged to make special accommodations or dial 9-1-1 if they are unable to secure alternative power.
