doo·hick·ey5 minute(s) ago Was ur hardware plugged into a surge protector?
A great thing about having Spectrum was their local store to easily swap any faulty units.
I think it’s this coming Oct I’ll switch back, after the F Fiber promo ends (1 year) then I’ll doo Spectrum’s deal. ..rinse repeat
holeinbow9 minute(s) ago I like the little flat led work lights they sell at diy, insanely bright and lasts about 4 hours per charge, charges up like a phone, and its solid state, needs no batteries. About 20 bucks apeice, its one of the best lights ive ever bought. I like the lanterns you mentioned too, ive had reliability issues with those typical to any battery flaslight.

Gorn54 minute(s) ago Thank you. I've rebooted both devices several times including the times at the direction of Frontier support.
doo·hick·ey1 hour(s) ago When power was restored at noon yesterday, unusually, it took several reboots of Frontier's hardware. The modem seemed alright, eero wifi was not, I think it took few bootups 🥾 and 45 minutes plus.
Trail Rider1 hour(s) ago Gorn, our Frontier fiber is working in Erwin Lk.
Gorn2 hour(s) ago Is anybody else's internet still down? I use Frontier fiber in Boulder Bay. When the power came back, Frontier stayed down.
HMunster5 hour(s) ago FYI, The power was never turned off here in Running Springs, although we did get a PSPS - although that was later rescinded.

holeinbow12 hour(s) ago Outage definitely motivated me to do maintenance on the whole kerosene lamp collection and collect all the other lights and assess them. When they announced power coming back on at midnight i ran the fridge via generator for 2 hours, enough to save its contents so nothing was lost . With my small inverter running in the nissan i was able to charge 2 tablets, the phone, an led floodlight, and my hearing aids in about an hour, so it was a pretty good preparedness drill. Takeaways are to keep 5 gallons of gas on hand, find an easier way to plug in the fridge, and keep the kerosene collection maintained twice a year instead of just in the fall, and to buy more led camp lights, not just the silly toy led lights. Came through it ok but was mightily pissed that it had to come down to an outage, doubly so because bves has a power plant right there at their yard, but not the cojones to start it when we need it most.
mimoo16 hour(s) ago I did just see the P.S.PS. warning through midnight. Thanks for the heads up, I thought it was a done deal. Im hoping that we're clear of any more outages
