Just as I posted my last comment, the power came back on in Moonridge. Let’s hope it stays on.

In announcing this planned outage overnight, BVES yesterday actually did provide a good amount of detail on what they expected to happen. But this morning they can’t seem to keep up with what’s actually happening in their public posts. It’s now been 50 minutes since the power was on briefly and then went off again. We can only hope somebody at BVES actually knows what’s going on right now. It’s deeply frustrating.

Unfortunately there web site states that power is restored and their phone service is overloaded. We rely on their system text and their website for updates but neither are functioning as expected.
As many here can state that the power came on for a brief moment then back off. The estimated time was not correct. I think the patience of a customers would tolerate everything if the information was more accurate towards their customers.

I just spoke with a very nice lady with BVES’s outside calling service.. She was very nice and helpful but had no clue about what was going on. I had to explain everything to her. She said she would report what I said to BVES, but of course they know that already. 😁

So "technically" they didn't lie: The power came in at 9:00 then...well...

I recall BVES saying in one of its communications yesterday that it might turn on power and then turn it off again as part of restoring it throughout the valley. Hopefully that’s what’s going on

BVES does a notably poor job in communicating with its customers. The information they’ve provided on this outage, while sketchy and incomplete, is actually an improvement for them.

Planned Outage Notification: Oct. 16 (11:30PM) to Oct. 17 (7AM)

Can anyone explain to me why BVES is unwilling to update us with the latest information relative to outages? The last BVES Website update I can find reads that the power would restored at 7 AM. Its now after 9.

Well the power was restored for a few minutes In Moonridge then back off.

Power came back in Moonridge right now at 9:01 am then went right back off.

Power on Park Avenue just went out at 8:50.

Power out in Erwin again

Sugarloaf was only out for about an hour starting around 3:00 AM
