CAL FIRE/San Bernardino–Inyo–Mono Unit firefighters responded to a residential structure fire in the City of Highland this afternoon.
Upon arrival, firefighters encountered a single-story, single-family residence with a garage heavily involved in fire. Crews quickly initiated fire suppression efforts, successfully containing the fire to the garage and preventing further spread.
The residence was subsequently red-tagged due to fire damage. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.
The American Red Cross is assisting displaced residents with immediate needs following the incident.
The top of Mammoth Mt. its looks like you could almost ski or board off the hill right now. Fall is hitting with a little punch with the last two rounds. Praying and hoping all the roads will handle the new construction of the repairs made.
It’s beautiful! Enjoying this lovely weather as I officially retired last February and we are up here in Big Bear full-time now so I get to enjoy all these storms! No stressing about driving DTH either.
