Yes, Marshall. In the early-ish 70s there was a Helms Bakery van (kind of tan colored) that would blow a weird whistle sound as it cruised down our street. As BBNona recounted, when they opened the vehicle's doors, the aroma was incredible! I would beg my mom for a raspberry jelly-filled ppwdered sugar dusted donut or sometimes a glazed.

Yes Marshall!! I fondly remembered the Helms Man You would put a star in your window and they would stop in front of your house. I remember how wonderful the drawers would smell as they pulled out the drawers. Some had bread, some had donuts and I think the bottom jar had different candies. It was a real treat.
