is there any plans to down the monster guge ponderosa pine just to the northeast of deadmans curve in the parking lot of the healing center? it is the one that split about 50 feet up, and the whole 100 feet above the damage has noticeably increased its lean in the last week. if it falls, it will take out 5 properties, scary!

Morning maps and report show Sandy fire at around 1400 acres. Fire slowed overnight and firefighters made good progress overnight. Numerous evacs remain. Winds should be less but still a concern.

Watching Sandy fire closely today in Simi area. Expect Santa Anas. In Ventura County today until Thursday unless it gets bad.
