BC2807 IS IN THE AREA OF REPORTED VEHICLE FIRE. UNABLE TO LCOATE. THERE WAS A BOX TRUCK WITH SOME EXHAUST ISSUES IN THE AREA. THIS IS LIKELY WHAT WAS REPORTED. CANCELLING MOST OF THE RESPONSE. OTHER UNITS WILL CONTINUE TO CHECK. THIS WAS A LARGE RESPONSE WITH USFS AND CALFIRE ALSO SENDING UNITS.

flickering lights in evening has happened to our friends in mammoth recently also. They were told that it was over use/capacity issues of the local grid. blamed it on lots of strain from ev charging.

Siz, if you have flickering lights / power there may be an issue in your panel. If you are not comfortable opining up the you panels to check if all the screws are tight call your favorite licensed electrician. This is not a job for a handyman. There may be a lose screw that feeds you house. This could be nothing or it could be serious. I use DMB but call any electrician with a license to check it out.

Does anyone else have flickering lights every night from 5-9?

I was wondering why we don't get notified of anything happening in Sugarloaf with the fire department or Big Bear lake with the fire department

The Big Bear History Museum will have a special display this Saturday of antique engines and machinery courtesy of Western Antique Power Associates (WAPA). WAPA is based out of Cal Poly Pomona. The museum is on the east side of Greenway Drive just north of the airport safety zone. Open from 10AM to 4PM. Admission is $5 for adults. We have a working blacksmith shop and gold panning.

Benny- the fire appeared to have been mostly up and behind the foothills of the Marianna's. Lots of very remote homesteads up that way and the wind was driving it toward a more populated area. Glad they jumped on it! As it is you can only see some blackened areas from 18.

Thanks Boots, good info! Those fires in the lighter, flashy fuels will move out, but once they stop, they're out pretty quickly.
