The Summit Fire near Phelan started around 12:38pm today as that is when we got a "ping" from the AWF Table Mountain #2 camera. Air Attack 12 was flying the Lucerne Valley fire at that time, saw the smoke, and was overhead shortly after. Then it was off to the races....

Does anyone know why Sheriff's were at a house on DeLamar at Whispering Pines this afternoon?

Smoke is visible and will be drifting through the San Bernardino Mountains from the 800 acre Summit fire burning south of Phelan in the Angeles National Forest. There are no active fires in the Big Bear/Lake Arrowhead area.
