Yeah, i've done ghost reposts too -- I just hit SoCal graphic (upper left corner) to refresh the page rather than pressing Refresh button in the browser

Dr. B= when you return to the page if you reload it it will repost your comment. Instead of reloading click on the Forum tab to the left to get a new page. There are other more technical ways to clear your cache but the above hack is simple and effective.

Ah, well a lot of people don't know about the separate bensweather page. lol

Dr B - No problem. The big thing to keep in mind is that a Battery power is short term (4-8 hours -- depends on battery size and how much power draw. A Generator (gas or propane fueled) can run for longer durations (ie., for days, as long as you have fuel).

Solar can recharge a battery (albiet slow), but isn't practical for powering 110v appliances alone. (it could be done but it will cost $$$$ to get the amount of solar panels that would produce enough power for 110v appliances)
