Can we tell if it’s still going away from Big Bear?

Hearing UNOFFICIAL reports on TWITTER that the GOLD Fire is around 900 acres.

I find a good strategy is to keep the scanner on early in the morning so you can catch the morning broadcast and breifing, lots of info packed into those couple minutes...

Curious that the choppers were flying into the wee hours but all of them on the tarmac until 930? Pilots all needed rest after a long night?? Hoping for a good assessment from CF 🤞

McToddy, I was thinking that same thing. What's the point of posting an update which is identical to the previous statement 20 hours ago. They could have at least altered a few words...

Hard to telll from incident report exact ignition point of gold Fire. Looks Too far north for SCE lines. Interesting that it’s called the gold fire and there’s a couple of claims in there where miners dry wash. Small gas engines on ground and pine duff; what could go wrong? Wasn’t up there this weekend to see what’ was going on. Hopefully it’s a learning experience.

Power went out here in Running Springs about 10 minutes ago at 5:05 am.
