Per Scanner: Anderson Incident ( lightning snag) north of Forest Falls. Helicopter 534 will be coming on scene of the Incident Command in a little bit. They have approval to alnd a chopper in the Wilderness so they can insert a crew that can hike into the incident.

Walker, yes listening to them on the Scanner... The Anderson incident... USFS sent a response at 9:40 this morning... not doing a lot.. Single lightning snag...

Additionally, the power outage yesterday was caused by a lightning strike on SCE equipment, not BVES. It was in the high desert down near Cushenbury. This explains why SCE had to inspect the equipment before re-energizing. It happens, that's Mother Nature!

Looks like we have a snag on this forest falls side. Looks to be East of Anderson but more on this side of the ridge.

New fire dubbed the Vail Fire in Temecula canyons. Given it's approximate location I wouldn't be surprised if this was Lightning related...
