Nah I was out there in it. Was almost 2 minutes solid, you know to be a squall it must be over a minute. 😀

IMHO, Running Springs runs uncomfortably warmer [Click Here] at midtown 10°F higher.

Cool doo! You likely had a good dust devil move through. Common when it's warm and we have clouds around. That temperature differential can spin up some sizeable dust devils. Gusts can get up to 90 mph and cause some damage!

Graph updated finally [Click Here]
Squalls at that huge a difference is rare.

In other news:
I had a minute plus, maybe 2, wind Squall a bit ago. Today's max's: Sustained 46.5 mph
Gust 53.0 mph
Has not updated my graph yet, only a small mess. Ben's station got a record for this month at 19.6 mph but he's a tad sheltered
BTW, at the middle top of this page here, has my Baldwin Lake link [Click Here] mostly for it's wind value location.

Helicopters continue to work the lightning snag fires in the San Gorgonio Wilderness today. Crews were shuttled back to the Anderson fire just north of Anderson Peak this morning. That lightning snag involved approximately 1/4 of an acre of ground fuels.

Crimes aside, we still got no explanation for the caustic attack on the look of Ben's Weather site.

Running Springs is a fairly small community with a tiny town center, with drivers on the 330/18 that are just as crazy as the ones you see in Big Bear. But just like every other City, Big Bear City is going to see crime and fatal traffic accidents. Big Bear is a pretty large area and also a tourist attraction for it's beauty and far more things to do than in Running Springs. I know this because I used to live in Running Springs from 2021 up until this year... My Nana before her passing lived in the Sugarloaf area and never had any problems up there anyways.

Why are you even talking about this, anyways? You were originally whining about Ben's site upgrading while keeping the old layout. Are you here to just rile site visitors up?

But how does dissing Ben's Weather site relate to Big Bear's social problems?

Walkermuggz: No, see, I enjoy coming to the Big Bear Chatbox and read everyone's complaints!
Things I no longer have to deal with in (much superior) Running Springs.
You guys are constantly complaining about BVE power outages.
You guys are always ragging about crazy drivers.
A week doesn't go by that you don't have a fatality accident.
Your K-BHR Newslink is constantly referencing shots fired, drug busts and home break-ins.
We have none of that in Running Springs.
I lived in Big Bear from 2008 to 2021 and during those 13 years I developed a major distaste for the tourists that infested the town and the flatlander attitudes and crimes they bring up with them.
Why live in a natural paradise if you're surrounded by cretins?
So, I derive immense pleasure reading your complaints knowing that I'm a good enough distance away not to experience them whole still enjoying the four seasons -- and if I HAVE to head down the hill, I can do so in 15 minutes flat.
Have a nice day!
