Drone show is just one big advertisement for Big Bear valley. Most of us who live here already know it's a great place. I like the color and motion of fireworks- and many other places do drone shows that mimic that. We should to. BUT it's sponsored by Visit Big Bear now so it makes sense why it's an advert!

Saw two really bad accidents heading down the hill this afternoon. One at the lower passing lane. Overturned vehicle was driving northbound in the southbound lane and flipped the car. Looks like he walked away from it with two kids also. Then the other accident was at the middle passing lane someone heading downhill too fast towing a trailer popped through the berm almost went over the side of the cliff that was terrifying to see. Small kids and parents look fine. CP was there and they were sitting under a sun shade. Very scary!!

SCM is there any way to add the status of 247 from Lucerne to Barstow on the Roads part of the Main Menu? Need to get my license late September and was going to go to Barstow but know the road got washed out. Thanks for all you guys (and gals of course) do for us.

Hi grateful, i havent met you but i grew up back side of sawmill. Drone show was tightly focused right in front of pine knot landing, you had to be in the village, out in the lake, or in the hills to see it. Shoot me a pm, lets see where we connect!

I took the ship out for the drone show, second one for me so i had a good idea where to park to see it best, i think the drones need bigger batteries because that was a lot of logistics and effort to get in place for a ten minute show, and for the record, i like explosions. Drone shows are still a new thing and i look forward to more and better shows in the future.

Regarding the drone show…
It was 45 min late and 10 minutes long; for those with young kids this was quite annoying.

Unlike other drones shows, the drones did not rotate—so if you weren’t on Pine Knot side it was like watching a television from the side. At ski beach people literally got up and left to beat the traffic.

First drone show for me ever and I thought it was absolutely amazing!
